Shahrukh the first James Bond of India

Shahrukh the first James Bond of India: Action is the mantra for Shahrukh Khan, this season. The Bollywood actor seems to be in love with the genre at present. Though the audience is more used to watching the King Khan in romantic roles, SRK is all set to set screens on fire with action in his upcoming releases Don 2 and Ra.One. One look at the actor’s newly acquired lean structure is enough to confirm the fact that he has been sweating it out to become the first James Bond of India.

First of the two action films featuring Shahrukh Khan in the lead is Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2. While the director had already improved on the older version of Don, he plans to make the sequel even more stylish and action-packed. And it is for this reason that Farhan Akhtar is taking a leaf out of the books of Hollywood action hero James Bond. The crew of the film is presently shooting in the German capital Berlin and it has been reported that while a body double will be used for the extreme sequences, SRK himself will perform some of the stunts shown in the film. In fact the actor has also had an accident while performing the acts in Berlin.

Following the Don 2 act is Ra.One, for which Shahrukh Khan will have to perform more stunts considering that he will play a superhero in the movie. Ra.One is being touted as one of the most ambitious projects undertaken by the actor in his flourishing career. Action or no action, we love Shahrukh and will be waiting for his films to hit theaters.

Salman Khan and Shahrukh: Will their war ever end?

Salman Khan and Shahrukh: Will their war ever end?: Aamir Khan aside, the past few months have seen another Khan rivalry in terms of SRK and Salman both of whom are no longer in speaking terms with each other. There was a time when they were buddies and very warm towards each other. However, call it the destiny’s script or irony of the fate, now there seems to be an impenetrable wall in between them.

The war began with a huge brawl in a party where Salman and Shahrukh almost came to fists while Katrina and Aamir tried to play peace maker. Reportedly, Salman was heavily miffed that SRK turned down his offer to come to his show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ even though Salman (along with Katrina) had duly appeared on SRK’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

Somehow due to hectic schedule or otherwise, SRK was unable to approve of Salman’s invitation; something that angered him beyond repair. Now, the duo stands separate with no immediate sign of any patch-up. Even though, in interviews, SRK continues to pour his blessings to Salman and speak well of him, there is no actual bonhomie.

Salman, meanwhile, had once said that he will never be able to trust SRK again. In between all these rivalries, the viewer is the loser as films starring them like the great ‘Karan Arjun’ or the touchy ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ may never be made again.

Aamir Khan, Salman or Shahrukh: Who is the most loved Khan?

Aamir Khan, Salman or Shahrukh: Who is the most loved Khan?: While Aishwarya Rai or Katrina Kaif (or even Priyanka or Kareena) may be the most admired woman of the B-town, Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir are the most loved actors, especially, when it comes to the roaring Khans. Now, who, amongst the trio is the most loved Khan?

While, Shahrukh has been carrying the title of King Khan for a long time now, Aamir is called the ace and the perfectionist. Salman has always remained a mega star despite the box office fate of his films. But, of course, post the colossal success of ‘Dabangg’, none is questioning Sallu’s box office prowess any more.

Shahrukh, being the king of romance that he has been (with films like DDLJ, Kuch kuch Hota Hai, Dil to Pagal Hai, Veer Zaara, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and so many others), he has always found a soft corner amongst the women. 7 out of 10 women would, instantly, hail SRK as their fav.

Similarly, Salman, too, being the handsome hunk that he is, has been an important part of the female fantasy. Aamir, on the other hand, is the original chocolate boy. Besides, the quality of films he has done, of late, has catapulted him to the Everest of popularity and there is no doubt that he is the darling of a huge chunk of movie buffs.

You being the reader and an epitome of the common Indian man are best to judge whom your heart aches for. Whom do you love the most? Who, in your esteemed opinion, is the most loved Khan?

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan: Can they recreate the old magic?

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan: Can they recreate the old magic?: Other than Shahrukh Khan; actors Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are two of the biggest superstars of Bollywood. And while individually, they have the prowess to deliver block busters of the magnitude of Dabangg and 3 Idiots, just imagine the kind of explosion they can trigger if they come together.

Salman and Aamir had done a film in 1994 which goes by the name ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’. Even though, it failed at the box office at the time, today it is considered one of the finest films and a benchmark for the future comic capers.

Imran is a great co-star: Deepika

Imran is a great co-star: Deepika: Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan are the freshest and newest jodi of Bollywood who are set to take the box office by storm.
Their forthcoming vehicle Break Ke Baad, a Kunal Kohli and Reliance BIG Pictures film releasing on November 26, has got the right buzz with the promos and music just building up the hype. The two are being seen as the new onscreen 'It' couple. And with Deepika saving Imran's name as 'Sexy' on her phone and Imran showering heaps of praises on Dips in public, they are certainly the talk of the town.

Kiran Rao sending hand-written postcards to Dhobi Ghat invite

Kiran Rao sending hand-written postcards to Dhobi Ghat invite: No one beats Aamir Khan when it comes to his out-of-the-box promotional strategies. Now his wife Kiran Rao is following her perfectionist hubby's footprints and sending hand-written post cards to invite the media to a screening of her directorial debut Dhobhi Ghat.

"What started five years ago as a vague idea is now a 100-minute reality and I am most excited (and very nervous)," Kiran wrote in a handwritten post card inviting the media for a dekko at her film's first look Nov 17 in Mumbai, a copy of which is with IANS.
